Award-Winning Commitment to the Channel: Panasonic’s Revamped Mobility Partner Program

With the entire family of Toughbook products sold exclusively through the channel, our success is driven by the success of our resellers. In order to manufacture and deliver the best products and rugged mobility solutions on the market, we rely on collaboration with our channel partners to keep innovating. Because we value our partners and tie their success to ours, Panasonic has been working very hard to enhance our partner program to ensure maximum success in the channel. Thanks to modifications that were made in the past year to enhance the program, Panasonic was recognized by the Channelnomics Innovation Awards as the Vendor of the Year for our Mobility Partner Program.

Launched in October 2016, the revamped Mobility channel program was created to show our partners the same level of commitment that they show to Toughbook products. The main initiative of the program is simple: to help channel partners grow their business and the Panasonic business through the sales of Toughbook mobile computers, tablets, handhelds and 2-in-1s.  Added to this is our commitment and loyalty to our relationship with our partners. This is what makes Panasonic unique and gives resellers the competitive edge that they need. By maximizing joint sales opportunities, better positioning Panasonic technology to new and existing customers, and strengthening investment in these relationships, we’re able to transform resellers into strategic allies for our mobility business. We’re excited to offer the following through the program:

  • Introduction of a market development fund (MDF) offering: With proper resources, the MDF enables channel partners to execute lead-generation activities, support existing customer base and deliver ROI.
  • Increased access to demo units:  We want customers to be confident in their buying decision. With more demo units available, partners are able to offer their customers the Toughbook experience before a purchase is made.
  • Investment in a dedicated channel support team: Through amplifying sales enablement and business development, leading trainings, and providing marketing planning and execution guidance, this team is fully committed to partner growth.
  • Reseller-targeted events:  To ensure our customer strategies are aligned, we’re committed to hosting periodic check-in events with partners.

The professionals that we support require highly reliable and performance-driven solutions to help them better perform in their role. Through consultation with customers and reseller partners, we’re able to provide customers with devices that contain the features they asked for. This resulted in one of the most unique 2-in-1 solutions in a popular market, allowing partners to deliver differentiated value and experience increased partner profit.
