Panasonic Adds PT-AR100U to Line of Home Theater Projectors

Last month, Panasonic Solutions Company launched Panasonic’s first 3D home theater projector, the PT-AE7000U and today, we announced yet another addition to our line of home theater projectors, the PT-AR100U. With improved brightness to our award winning PT-AE4000U home theater projector, this new full-HD home theater projector provides 2,800 lumens of brightness along with a  50,000:1 contrast ratio.

The ideal projector for your home theater has exceptional image quality, high brightness and is easy to install. Whether you will be curling up on the sofa for family movie night or throwing a party for the big game, the PT-AR100U features the quality and brightness you’ll desire.

The amount of brightness necessary for a home theater projector depends on the environment in which you plan to use it. If you plan on viewing content in a well-lit room, you’ll need a bright projector; otherwise the image would appear faded and unclear. The PT-AR100U’s 2,800 lumens of brightness allow the projector to produce bright, sharp images, even in various lighting conditions. Since the Light Harmonizer 3 automatically adjusts the picture quality of the image to match the lighting conditions of the home theater, you won’t have to adjust settings when you go between watching a game with friends with the lights on and showing a movie in the dark. The projector also features many advanced optical technologies such as the Dynamic Iris Pro and Pure Color Filter Pro that make it possible to project images with extraordinary color accuracy.

Since you will be watching a variety of programming in your home theater, the PT-AR100U offers seven preset picture modes to provide optimal performance for different contexts. The modes, which include Sports, Game, Cinema1, Vivid Cinema, Normal, REC709 and Dynamic mode, combined with the Motion Effect function ensure clear fast moving images.

Finally, installation and setup of the PT-AR100U is simple with any room layout. The 2x zoom allows for freedom of placement, as it can cast a 120-inch diagonal image from 11.5 to 23-feet from the screen. The lens shift capability also enables flexibility in mounting, with 68 percent vertical and 26 percent horizontal adjustment. Two HDMI inputs allow you to connect to multiple HD sources without an HDMI switcher.

The PT-AR100U is designed to support home theater automation, such as lighting and a motorized screen, because it is equipped with two programmable 12-volt trigger terminals. All of this, and more, give the PT-AR100U the power that it needs to serve as the core of a dynamic AV home theater system.

Come check out the new PT-AR100U at CEDIA Expo 2011 in Indianapolis this week, at the Panasonic booth #5624.
