From Network Connectivity to Battery Health: IT Needs Better Tools to Address Mobile Device Issues
In business, mobility is the new normal. B2M’s 6th Annual State of Enterprise Mobility Report drives this point home. Over 98% of IT leaders surveyed attested that reliable mobile devices are critical to all elements of their business from worker productivity to revenue growth. The area perhaps most dependent on reliable mobile devices, apps, and network connections is the frontline workforce, who rely on mobile technology to deliver goods and services to customers.
For workers to do their jobs, they need mobile technology that consistently works. However, workers still consistently face issues such as network connectivity, app stability, and battery health that take their devices offline.
While 100% of businesses surveyed offer mobile technology support services and 95% utilize Mobile Device Management (MDM) or Enterprise Mobility Management (EMM) tools, these issues still result in high levels of productivity loss. That’s because MDM and EMM are reactive solutions. They don’t offer the real-time information IT teams need to proactively address the problems workers face with their mobile devices.
The infographic below highlights some of B2M’s findings and the solutions that can be used to maximize the effectiveness of mobile technology.
