Panasonic Shines at Digital Signage Expo 2014, Wins DIGI Award

The bright lights of Las Vegas got a little brighter February 11-13 when the Digital Signage Expo 2014 (DSE) landed at the Sands Expo Center. As the world’s largest international trade show dedicated to digital signage and interactive technology, DSE 2014 attracted thousands of industry professionals from around the world. We were there as well, showing off an assortment of new products and business solutions for industries such as retail, QSR, education, and museums.
Much of the buzz was around the PT-DZ870U high-brightness projector, which won a DIGI Award for “Best New Product, New Generation Display (Non-LCD or Plasma),” one of the top honors handed out by Digital Signage Magazine. As the industry’s brightest  single chip DLP™ projector (as of July 2013), it offers 8,500 lumens of brightness, WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution and a contrast ratio of 10,000:1.  When paired with the optional ET-DLE030 ultra short throw lens, these projectors are able to project a 100-inch image from only 2.7ft away! Also on display at DSE 2014 was the new lamp and filter-free projector PT-RZ670U, offering 6,000 lumens of brightness – available later this year, the TH-47LFX6U and TH-47LFX60U ruggedized and weatherproof outdoor displays, TH-55LFV50U and TH-47LFV5U video wall displays and ET-SWA100 status-monitoring software, which enables remote monitoring of devices for an always-accessible view of product performance.
