Webinar: Oregon State University Remains on the Cutting Edge by using Panasonic Projectors and Displays

On Tuesday, May 22, I had the pleasure of participating in a Campus Technology webinar with Rick Brand, Associate Director of Technical Services at Oregon State University (OSU), during which we discussed OSU’s Panasonic technology deployments. Rick oversees teams that provide AV technology for more than 250 classrooms, conference facilities and other learning environments, as well as athletic venues, at the university’s Corvallis, Oregon, campus.

During the webinar Rick discussed the issues he and his team were facing with aging technology, why they selected Panasonic for a technology refresh and how they were able to achieve a high return on investment, while cutting classroom downtime. Since the installation, Rick and his team have deployed more than 160 Panasonic projectors, including PT-FW300, PT-FW430, PT-DZ6700 and PT-DZ12000 Series projectors, and numerous 50- and 65-inch plasma displays.

After Rick spoke about his experience working with Panasonic, I briefly discussed up and coming trends in the education market, including virtual classrooms, 3D, tablets in the classroom and more.
