Lifestyle Cable TV Powers 3D Camcorders: Part Two
You may recall a blog back in December of 2010 about WealthTV, a luxury lifestyle and entertainment cable TV network and a Panasonic AG-3DA1 customer. We mentioned some of WealthTV’s exciting plans to shoot beautiful destinations like Cannes and Ibiza in 3D.
Since then, WealthTV has significantly expanded the scope of its 3D production. Over the last 18 months, the network has dispatched 3D crews to the most desirable destinations around the world, building up an extensive 3D series library.
To support this increased 3D activity, WealthTV recently purchased nine additional Panasonic 3DA1 cameras, bringing its total to 15, one of our largest orders to date for the field-proven 3D camera.
Current projects include shooting in Machu Picchu, Peru, the Alhambra in Spain, Cuba, and the Seychelles. WealthTV has even secured the rights to shoot 20 top musical artists in 3D.
A remarkable shoot took place at the Paris’ Musee de Louvre (see above image). The gorgeous, historical site is home to some of the most beautiful renaissance collections, including, of course, Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa.” This multiple-day shoot captured some of world’s most acclaimed artworks in 3D.
WealthTV founder and CEO Robert Herring noted that the network especially values the 3DA1 camcorder for its small size and simplicity of operation. The camcorders have been perfect for WealthTV in the field, and can truly make real magic for the consumer in the edit bay.
Stay tuned for more news on exciting 3D production plans from WealthTV.
